The Venezuelan manager of the Reading Fightings Double-A team of the Philadelphia Phillies organization, Alfredo Pedrique, won the John Vukovich Prize 2025.
The information was released by the Phillies through a post on their social networks.
The Venezuelan has demonstrated loyalty, dedication, competitiveness, knowledge, honesty and a great work ethic, fundamental values to be worthy of an award given by the organization among its coaches.
Pedrique has 173 victories with the Philadelphia Phillies Double-A team over the past three years.
The John Vulkovich award was established in 2007 to honor Vukovich, the longest-serving coach in Phillies history, with a total of 17 seasons.
