Amazonas consolidates territorial organization with the Bolivarian Integral Base Committee

In Amazonas, the streets join the call, with special emphasis on women's participation in leadership positions

The residents of Amazonas participated in the candidacy and election of their representatives, formalizing the corresponding act and consolidating the formation of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committee.

The street leader of the Valle Guanay sector, María Luna, and the street leader Daniel Sousa, belonging to the Antonio José de Sucre municipality in Puerto Ayacucho, led the assembly in accordance with the guidelines of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

“We welcome all our colleagues who are joining us today in this election. We have received the application certificate, a leader and a team have been chosen. The party is getting stronger in the streets,” said María Luna.

Daniel Sousa, street leader, highlighted the national nature of the process: “Since the early hours of the morning, we have seen how the Venezuelan people participate in popular democracy. Following the instructions of Commander Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro, we are forming Bolivarian Committees in every corner of the country. Here we received the report of this street that held its assembly, elected its spokesperson and consolidated its team. The Party is preparing for new battles, it stands firm and the women of our communities are taking an active role in relation to the country.”

The activity is part of the constitution of committees at the national level, promoted by the PSUV, as part of the strengthening of participatory democracy and popular leadership. In Amazonas, the streets join the call, with special emphasis on women's participation in leadership positions.
