AMB officers received training in Global Navigation Satellite Systems and Linux

Officers from the Bolivarian Military Aviation Information and Communications Technology Directorate (AMB) received training on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and Introduction to the Linux System (Debian) by personnel from the Bolivarian Agency for Space Activities (ABAE).

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), participants acquired fundamental knowledge about satellite signals, receivers and antennas, positioning methods, sources of errors, Rinex files and data processing.

As for the introduction course to the Linux system (Debian), the students received knowledge to strengthen the digital independence of the Venezuelan space sector through the transition from proprietary software to open source platforms, guaranteeing greater technological autonomy.
