Ambassador Lan Hu: China-Venezuela Cooperation Contributes to Stability, Regional and Global Development

The ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Venezuela, Lan Hu, presented this Friday the great advances in binational cooperation since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, which has consolidated a relationship “under all tests and at all times” between the two countries.

During the Great Expo: China and Venezuela, Building a Brilliant Future, the diplomat reviewed the entire history of mutual support and the achievements achieved by the alliance for the benefit of both peoples.

“All of this is not only a reflection of the cooperation and understanding between our governments, but it also brings with it the deep, sincere friendship and brotherhood between our Peoples,” he said from Caracas.

He stressed that “the international scene is currently undergoing a profound transformation and the world has entered a period of turbulence and change. Some countries, following the law of reserve, practice economic cohesion”, and “at the same time new sources of tension are emerging, which represent very severe challenges for humanity. But we are very convinced that consolidating and expanding cooperation between China and Venezuela not only responds to the common interests of our peoples, but also contributes to regional and global stability and development.”

In this regard, he confirmed that Caracas and Beijing “must firmly maintain our mutual support, side by side, to protect our vital interests and main concerns. We must expand our pragmatic cooperation, further reinforce the articulation of our development strategy (...) We must further strengthen cultural and human ties, building the project of civilization and project for peoples, especially for young people, so that new forces may emerge”.
