AN approves agreement for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Orchestra System

The National Assembly (LAN) approved an Agreement in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Foundation of the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in accordance with the provisions of article 111 of the Internal Regulations and Debates of the AN.
Deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra was in charge of opening the debate and presenting the project in which he stated that the Orchestra System has cultivated a fundamental value in Venezuelan society.
In this regard, he thanked the creator of the organization, teacher José Antonio Abreu, for transforming the lives of so many Venezuelan children and sowing in citizens that music can make a homeland. “Venezuela's National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs will continue to be an example for the world,” said Maduro Guerra.
For his part, the parliamentarian, Omar Ávila, in his speech, emphasized first the focus on what social inclusion is, secondly on excellent high-quality musical training with highly trained teachers, thirdly what has to do with integral development, a system that not only focuses on musical training, but also on integral development, inculcating values, responsibility and teamwork. On the other hand, the significant social impact it has had, reducing violence, school dropout and poverty, training world-renowned musicians”.
The approval of this draft agreement by the National Assembly is a recognition of the valuable contribution of the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs to the cultural and educational life of Venezuela; the commitment of the AN to this celebration underlines the importance of continuing to support and promote initiatives that promote the artistic and personal development of Venezuelan youth.
