An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 shook the south-west of Türkiye in the early morning of June 3.
The focus of the earthquake was at a depth of 74 kilometers and the epicenter was located about five kilometers south of the city of Icmeler, according to calculations by the United States Geological Survey, Russia Today reported.
Another cable from the Press Agency specified that the 5.8 magnitude earthquake shook the Mediterranean coastal city of Marmaris on Tuesday, according to the Türkiye disaster management agency. At least seven people were injured while trying to leave their homes in a hurry.
The Presidency of Disaster and Emergency Management indicated that the earthquake had its epicenter in the Mediterranean Sea and occurred at 2:17 in the morning.
The governor of Marmaris, Idris Akbiyik, told the television station that seven people were being treated for injuries after jumping out of windows or balconies, but there were no immediate reports of serious damage.
