AN sanctioned the Law on the Reform of the Organic Law of the Communes

This Thursday, the National Assembly (AN) approved the Law to Reform the Organic Law of the Communes.

This reform seeks to strengthen and develop the exercise of Popular Power through forms of self-government for the construction of the communal State.

This Act includes measures to promote the comprehensive system of homeland defense and addresses diverse cultural, economic, social and territorial needs and potentialities of communities.

The reform also focuses on improving the organization and functioning of communes, promoting democratic and proactive participation of citizens.
