AN unanimously approved the cooperation treaty between Venezuela and Russia

The National Assembly (AN) unanimously approved in the first discussion the Bill Approving the Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Treaty between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Russian Federation.

During the regular session, Deputy Roy Daza presented the bill, and emphasized that the agreement consolidates a lasting alliance between the two nations, based on mutual respect, self-determination and multilateralism.

“This treaty is a message of peace, sovereignty and strength of the Venezuelan people,” he emphasized.

He stressed that the treaty covers cooperation in key areas such as trade, science, energy and diplomacy, and responds to the need to strengthen a multipolar and equitable world order.
