Within the framework of the International Campaign “Bring Them Back” and during a political-academic day in honor of the Centenary of Commander Fidel Castro, Ambassador Belén T. Orsini Pic received more than 50 letters of solidarity from students and teachers of the “Comandante Fidel Castro Ruz” Middle Health Institute (IMSCFCR), in support of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The letters, written in handwriting, express a firm condemnation of the violation of Venezuelan sovereign territory that occurred on January 3, as well as the demand for the immediate and unconditional release of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and the First Lady and Deputy Cilia Flores, who were kidnapped after the attack against Venezuela.
The messages highlight values of defending the life, sovereignty and self-determination of peoples, and denounce the aggressions directed by the Government of the United States (USA), under the command of Donald Trump.
Expressions of solidarity were also expressed with the families of the Venezuelan and Cuban martyrs killed in defense of Venezuelan sovereignty, as well as messages of support to the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, to whom they wished strength, serenity and wisdom to lead the country and preserve its social achievements.
The activity was organized by the director of the above-mentioned institute, António Pacavira, who is also the coordinator of the Bring Them Back Movement — Angola chapter, established on January 22, and is part of an extensive international day of complaint and solidarity.
This statement by the Angolan academic community reaffirms the ties of brotherhood between Angola and Venezuela, and its commitment to the legacy of Fidel Castro, in defense of justice, peace and the sovereignty of peoples.
The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions of Cuba and Venezuela, students, teachers, former fighters from Angola and social organizations.
