The Deputy Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies, William Castillo, reported that with the group of 16 new public officials unilaterally sanctioned by the government of the United States (USA), the number of aggressions involving unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela has risen to 947.

“With these 16, the number of unilateral coercive measures is 947, it is already an official record, yesterday it was added to the database of the Venezuelan Anti-Blockade Observatory (OVA),” said Castillo.

He described it as a “failed, illegal and criminal policy”, the US Government is carrying out against Venezuela, which include personal sanctions aimed at creating fear among these people and their families, as well as representatives of public authorities who attempt to extort money through these files.

Castillo questioned the fact that the United States attacks a public power, as well as conditioning its recognition and functioning on the basis of the representation of the Republic.

The director of the Venezuelan Anti-Blockade Observatory pointed out that the new coercions generate a kind of “vacuum effect” considering that the United States has failed in this policy and knows that Venezuelan democracy today is much stronger. “These sanctions have no impact, none of these officials have an account in the United States,” he said.
