The Venezuelan people participate in the Great Anti-Imperialist March for Peace, against terrorism and in support of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in rejection of the actions of the United States Government against Venezuela.
The activity brings together representatives of community organizations, social movements and citizens from different states of the country.
“With Commander Chávez, we recovered our country. We cannot continue to fall in the face of threats from those who envy the peace and prosperity of this people. Venezuela is free and sovereign. We are going to move forward,” said Ismael Hernández.
For his part, Yoida Blanco from the state of Aragua, pointed out that “the anger of the empire is that we are a united and anti-imperialist people who love their homeland and will always defend it. The gringos will not pass.”
For his part, Víctor Linares, from Miranda state, highlighted community organizing as a response to the attacks. “Our president will continue to lead this Revolution. The best answer is unity, struggle, battle and victory. Venezuela must remain in peace and exercise its sovereignty.”
In this regard, community member David Báez said that “we have a people's president who is going to give his life for Venezuela. The reaction of the right to our victories has been violence, but here there is an institutional and popular response, which is peace. They are desperate because electorally they have no street, and that is why they resort to manipulation.”
The march began in Francisco de Miranda Park and will have as its last point the Plaza José Martí.
