Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt condemned this Sunday the decision of the Zionist regime of Israel to suspend the entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, an action announced by the press service of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Israeli authorities argue this suspension because of the alleged refusal of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas to accept the proposal of Steve Witkoff, the US envoy to the Middle East, to temporarily extend the first phase of the ceasefire.

“The Foreign Ministry expresses Saudi Arabia's condemnation of the decision of the Israeli occupying authorities to suspend the supply of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, using it as a means of collective punishment, which constitutes a flagrant violation of humanitarian law,” said the statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Qatari Foreign Ministry described the Israeli decision as a “serious violation of the ceasefire agreement, international humanitarian law, the Fourth Geneva Convention and all religious norms.”

For its part, Egypt urged the international community to condemn “attempts to achieve political objectives by endangering the lives of innocent people” and to put an end to “illegal and inhumane acts against civilians”.
