The Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, announced that he is working on a law that will prohibit access to social networks by children under 16 years of age.

In this regard, he explained that the future of the legal instrument is because “social networks are really hurting children and I'm going to put an end to this.”

In addition, Albanese stressed that the algorithms of these networks offer disturbing content to children and adolescents that are highly influential.

The draft will be presented to Parliament at the end of November.

Once approved, technology platforms will have one year to study how to implement the restrictions.
