The governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, held a meeting with the High Government Commission, headed by the Minister of the Office of the Presidency, M/G Jorge Márquez, and the head of Public Works, Juan José Ramírez, to define actions in the face of the recent rainfall that has affected 12 municipalities in the entity.
During the meeting, a comprehensive strategy was established to inspect and recover damaged areas, as well as to guarantee immediate attention to the population. Technical teams will be deployed in the health, education, public order and services sectors to respond effectively.
Among the topics discussed, the state of road infrastructure stood out, especially the connecting routes with Colombia used for the movement of products, whose interruptions have generated obstacles in traffic and trade. The regional government will begin priority work in the most committed sections.
The field
evaluation will continue with the application of measures to
restore operation in the impacted areas, reaffirming institutional support
for the people of Tachira.
