The Bolivarian Government carried out a day of cataract and pterygium surgery in the Portuguese state, free of charge. These are actions of the Miracle Mission that began on Monday, December 9 and will take place throughout the week.

The surgical interventions were performed at the Baraure Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI) in Araure and, according to the first lady of the state María Gabriela Gil de Cedeño, the estimate is to treat 300 patients during the week.

From its social network Instagram, the health department of the entity reported that to date 163 patients in Portuguesa had already undergone surgery for cataracts and pterygium, of whom 56 underwent surgery on Monday and 55 on Tuesday.

This is the third surgical day that the Miracle Mission in Portugal deploys in 2024 to provide decisive treatment for cases of cataracts, pterygium and strabismus through the 1×10 of Good Governance.
