Bolivarian Government evaluates strategies to recover and re-establish Muscar gas pipeline operations

The Bolivarian Government is evaluating strategies for the recovery of facilities and the reestablishment of operations of the Muscar gas pipeline in Monagas after an explosion.

A multidisciplinary team led by the president of Petrleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), Héctor Obregón, evaluates strategies to reduce the impact generated by the explosion that occurred in the 26" Muscar-Soto gas pipeline, located in the Muscar Operational Complex of the Punta de Mata Division, in Monagas state.

The authorities noted at the site the damage caused to the infrastructure and established a committee to determine the action plan to be followed for the recovery of the facility and the reestablishment of operations, PDVSA press reports.

This oil facility is responsible for receiving and handling associated gas and transferring it to external and internal customers,

The timely action of the Emergency Response and Control bodies, as well as the immediate care of the injured, was recognized by the board of directors, who highlighted the effort and preparation for emergency care.

A multidisciplinary team made up of various organizations from the oil industry, Civil Protection, the Bolivarian National Guard, and the Monagas State Firefighters, carried out the relevant tasks to mitigate the event and protect the integrity of the personnel and nearby communities.
