Bolivarian Government organizes blood donation day in La Guaira

Around 500 people participated in a special day of blood donation held in the main hospitals in the state of La Guaira, in connection with the celebration of World Donor Day.

The activity took place between Saturday, June 14 and Monday, June 16 at the blood banks of the Rafael Medina Jiménez Hospital in Pariata, the José María Vargas Hospital and the Macuto Maternal and Child Hospital, under the direction of the Ministry of Popular Power for Health.

“We are working on campaigns that strengthen voluntary donation behavior among the population. Today we celebrate the massive participation of citizens who came to our hospitals, managing to serve more than 300 donors in this healthcare center alone,” said Helimey Ortiz, coordinator of the Pariata Municipal Blood Bank, quoted by the regional press.
