The Bolivarian Government of Monagas state reactivated the Caripe tourist hostel located at the entrance of that city, to boost the municipality's economy.

In addition, a Multifaceted Fair was installed, together with a representation of 23 entrepreneurs, cultivators and visual artists out of 834 registered in the Great Mission Viva Venezuela Mi Patria Querida and in the Emprendemos Junto program.

The mayor of the Caripe municipality, Dalila Rosillo, stressed that together with the governor of the eastern entity, Ernesto Luna, she envisions the “Garden of the East”, to convert and maintain it as a fixed destination for travelers, by improving the reputation of the region, located in the mountains of Turimiquire.

“We are concentrating our artisans, entrepreneurs and cultivators at this point, so that they not only market their products, but also show the fruits and benefits of these lands,” Rosillo said.

The exhibition was a showcase for handmade products such as traditional sweets and modern pastries, costume jewelry, textile pieces, paintings, sculptures, fabrics, masks, traditional crafts and the performance of artists from the area, such as Félida Bello and the dances of Elia Velásquez.
