Bolivarian government reforests with 32,000 species on national day

The Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism reported that a total of 32,566 species were planted on 123 hectares across the country, during a national day of reforestation promoted by the Great Mother Earth Mission Venezuela, for the recovery of ecosystems.
The day included prioritized forest and fruit species for planting in strategic geographical areas, including apamates, samanes, mouse bushes, araguaneyes, mahogany and carocaros. Also, papaya trees, bucares, millet specimens, as well as teak trees, cedars, mereyes, ceibas and coffee plants, among other varieties, were added to strengthen vegetation cover and vulnerable areas.
All regions of the country contributed to the day with native species and the participation of ecosocialist councils, organized Popular Power, environmentalists, environmentalists and volunteers, who joined the national effort to restore degraded ecosystems, protect river headwaters, strengthen water security and biodiversity, in line with global commitments to mitigate the effects of climate change, the ministerial portfolio detailed in a press release.
