The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, announced the reopening of the Misión Sonrisa headquarters at the Dr. José Ignacio Baldó General Hospital, located in the Antímano parish, after a comprehensive rehabilitation of its facilities.

“Here is a complete rehabilitation of the six dental spaces to bring back the smile of the inhabitants of the community,” he said.

The president of the mission, Georgina Siso, recalled that the program offers free dental care to those who need it and remains active through the Venapp 1x10 Good Governance platform.

For her part, Rosalbina Hurtado, the city's single health authority, said that this initiative works together with the National Public System. He invited people from Caracas to visit health centers, more than 700 popular clinics in the capital, and to participate in the Operation Caracas Smile days.

With this reopening, the authorities are seeking to strengthen access to oral health services as part of the government's efforts to improve free health care in the city.
