Families from the Paz Castillo Fuego municipality served by the Government of Miranda State, the Mayor's Office and the People's Power regarding the overflow of the Agua Bendita stream due to the rains.

The Secretary of Government of Miranda, Hugo Martínez, stressed that by order of Governor Héctor Rodríguez, a special plan was activated to address the effects throughout the area.

“We are here in Santa Lucía, in the municipality of Paz Castillo, taking care of families who were affected by the heavy rains. We have approximately five families with total loss, we have the teams deployed, the Government team, the Mayor's team, the People's Power attending, helping to remove the mud,” he said.

As for the work carried out in the area, the use of specialized machinery for cleaning and removing sediments, trees, trunks and branches left by the passage of water in the streets that comprise the historic center stands out.

In addition, a special census was activated so that affected families can recover their belongings and homes.

“There is a Bolivarian government, a revolutionary government, that is aware of what happens to the people, and today it is another example of this (...) we have been here very early, seeing all the effects (...) have a Bolivarian government that supports the people, that we are going to help them resolve this whole situation,” he remarked.

For his part, the local mayor, Víctor Julio González, said that a health care plan has been activated. “As we are removing the sediments, we have been able to enter the affected streets, which has allowed us to guarantee vaccination after the medical examination of each member of the family with the health team,” he said.

He also highlighted that beyond the collapse of roads as a result of water, there are no negative figures to announce.
