Through a new day of the “More Years, More Love” program, the Bolivarian Government offered comprehensive medical care to more than 200 older adults in Altagracia de Orituco in the state of Guárico.
The operation is part of the actions being carried out in the region to continue improving the quality of life of the elderly, within the framework of the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland.
The activity was carried out in the E.B. Los Guaiquerís, where health and social institutions set up service points for general medicine consultations, internal medicine evaluations, the application of vaccines, counseling and social support.
In addition, participants enjoyed special beauty and recreational services. The grandmothers were assisted with hairdressers and manicures, while the grandparents had a barber shop, a press release reported.
The initiative deployed the local Comprehensive Community Health Area (ASIC), Ipasme, the Dr. José Francisco Torrealba Hospital, the National Institute of Social Services (Inass), Humanized Childbirth, the Great Venezuela Women's Mission and the Social Development and Elderly Directorates attached to the mayor's office.
