On the afternoon of Monday, December 23, a videoconference was held between the Minister of People's Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, with managers of the companies Pegas Touristik and Hover Tours, in which they talked about the Moscow-Porlamar charter operation, which, since its inception, has totaled 47,427 Russian visitors.
The information was provided by Minister Gómez, on her social network.
As part of the Moscow-Porlamar charter operation, a group of Russian tourists visited Caracas, an opportunity that allowed them to get to know the different faces of this city where history, modernity, nature and the Caribbean are combined in perfect harmony, the Ministry's team said on its social networks.
This operation began in 2021, when more than nine thousand Russian tourists arrived in the country, an activity that promotes tourism and boosts the country's economic growth.
Likewise, in 2024, Venezuela received tourists from the Eurasian nation, reflecting growth.
This commercial initiative is part of the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Tourism, under the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, aimed at strengthening inbound tourism as a source of economic growth and social inclusion.
