The Bolivarian Government, through the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), is making progress in strengthening the electricity system in the state of Táchira, thanks to strategic actions aimed at ensuring a more stable and efficient service for the population.
During a technical inspection at the La Tendida Distribution Plant, located in the Samuel Darío Maldonado municipality, the Minister of Public Power for Electric Energy (MPPEE), Jorge Márquez, stressed that repair work has been carried out on the generation units, allowing for an increase in operational capacity in the region.
In a note published on the MPPEE website, he points out that Márquez highlighted that “we are in La Tendida, in the Distributed Generation Plant, where we have eight machines that give us approximately 12 megawatts”.
“This is a sample, gentlemen workers, of what we can do and what we are doing at CORPOELEC. With very little money, thanks to our president Nicolás Maduro, we have managed to build this plant, the one in La Fría, and many more that we are fixing,” he said.
In the company of workers, he reiterated his institutional commitment to continue making progress in the comprehensive recovery of the electrical system, through joint work with State companies and the private sector.
These actions improve the quality of life of citizens and promote local economic development, thanks to the commitment of the Venezuelan State to restore stability and strength to the National Electric System (SEN).
“I want you to see and show you that we can do it, that we can fix and improve, optimize the company we dream of, so that our Venezuelan people can enjoy quality service, as it should be,” he said.
During his tour of the state of Táchira, Márquez noticed significant improvements in the facilities of the Táchira Thermoelectric Generation Plant, in García de Hevia, and the Coloncito Distributed Generation Plant, in Bolívar.
The maneuvers carried out include the rehabilitation of physical spaces, start-up of machinery and strengthening of technical operating conditions.
