Bolivarian Government treats 100 cancer patients with a day for the pink month in Zulia

More than 100 women with cancer patients were treated through a full day for the Pink Month in Maracaibo, Zulia state.

According to a press release issued by the Government of Zulia, the activity took place at the Doctor Armando Castillo Plaza Maternity Hospital and at the Autonomous University Hospital Service of Maracaibo (SAHUM), where simple, contrast and double contrast tomography were performed, as well as resonances, breast ultrasound, transvaginal ultrasound, doppler, mammography and densitometry.

The initiative responds to the guidelines of Governor Luis Caldera, who has prioritized continuous care for patients with oncological diseases, the note states.

From the Women's Unit, the coordinator of this Oncology Network, Lina Aguilera, explained that breast echo, transvaginal echo, echo doppler, mammography and densitometry studies were carried out: “Simultaneously, a day of simple tomography is also being carried out in the radiotherapy and nuclear medicine service Dr. Jorge García Tamayo, of the University Hospital of Maracaibo”.
