Brazil will host the First International Anti-Fascist Conference for the Sovereignty of Peoples

From March 26 to 29, the First International Anti-Fascist Conference for the Sovereignty of Peoples will be held in Porto Alegre, Brazil, a meeting that will bring together social organizations, movements, parties and militants from different countries of the world that will discuss strategies against the global advance of neofascism.

The meeting is expected to bring together more than 250 intellectuals, political leaders and representatives of social movements, who will develop common response strategies to face the authoritarian escalation that threatens social rights and democracy.

The representative of the national leadership of the Socialism and Freedom Party, Israel Dutra, said that the current preparation process reflects the scope that the call is acquiring, with previous meetings in different parts of the South American giant.

In addition, Dutra explained that the multiplication of these pre-conferences evidences the interest of political and social organizations in expanding the debate on the threats posed by authoritarianism and neofascism on the global stage.

These meetings function as spaces for political formation, exchange of experiences and organization of delegations that will participate in the international event.

The organizers emphasized the importance of curbing the spread of hate speech, linked to geopolitical conflicts, and of strengthening the political awareness of national and international attendees to consolidate cooperation between entities from different countries.
