The Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, informed the media this Thursday that a total of 13 people have been arrested for planning an attack in Plaza Venezuela, Caracas.

“In this operation, 13 people are detained, including a Colombian, alias El Titi,” he said, adding that those linked often go to New Granada territory but are Venezuelans.

With regard to the link between terrorists, the participation of far-right political parties that are nodes of the former commanders stood out. “They are fascists, they are involved in these clandestine units, they are the ones who hire the gangs. We are going to break up the whole financial issue!” , Cabello warned.

“We had 70 people on the list of criminals, already verified with gangs, and so far there are more than 20 detainees. Here we are not going to stop! we don't blackmail anyone... We are determined to free Venezuela from fascism,” he added.

In this context, he stressed that the instruction given by President Nicolás Maduro Moros is clear and precise. “When people see the patrols in Caracas, they used to complain, now they share, they give them coffee, because a task is being carried out on the street,” he said.

“We have expressed as a human concern the number of suicides per day, which is much greater than the number of people killed in the country,” added the sector's vice-president.

He also valued the work of all State forces in terms of peace. “These colleagues like their work, we feel a moral obligation to guarantee the safety of all Venezuelans and we do it with pleasure.”

Finally, he reiterated that he hopes “sooner rather than later to see the headline in the North American newspaper New York Times about drug gangs in Venezuela.” And he warned that drug traffickers and conspirators are going to encounter the military-popular-police merger.
