The elimination of the admission test in the country's universities by the Bolivarian Government seeks to guarantee all students the right to study at any of the universities that exist in Venezuela, said the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón.
In that sense, he argued that the allegations to the contrary are because “they had already charged for the admission tests and now they have to return the money (money)”.
As an example of irregularity, he also mentioned the case of the group Rawayana, which ultimately did not offer the announced concert, “those people didn't come and the company still hasn't returned the money to those who bought the tickets”.
Cabello stressed that this group, “they are announcing new concerts”, and knocked on the table several times (tum tum) before the arrival of the law, “they are scammers. That's the way they are, they had taken the admission test.”
“Boys have the right to study. Who was enrolled in the Central University (of Venezuela)? to name one: teachers' friends (...) the aptitude test is passed by whoever they decide (...) that's pure gamelote,” he said in his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 533.
In that sense, Cabello ironized when he commented that such a decision was not possible, “it cannot be that this type of decision is being taken in Venezuela, that education is being guaranteed to all Venezuelans equally and that there are no such things as palanqueados (who have contacts).”
He stressed that he does not understand the need to apply an admission test, “Why?” , he questioned.
“You understand when it comes to physical conditions, but not in college, the boy has the right to study,” he reiterated.
