The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, asserted that in the revolutionary ranks there is no type of imposition of candidates.
During the press conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV, he emphasized that there is no imposition in the party. “The nominations in the Base Assemblies were taken into account, the guidelines for the selection and selection of candidates were set, and it's normal that someone could say: 'Because I didn't go, 'and that's why he's angry, that happens to him (...) it's part of the political dynamic,” he said.
In that sense, he invited revolutionaries to take the decision taken seriously and to demonstrate partisan discipline.
“Almost everywhere in the country there is peace of mind, regardless of the fact that someone might feel dissatisfied, but here there is no imposition; we are not taking someone out of here from Caracas to send them to a state to which they are not nominated,” he said.
He also asserted that there are candidates from the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB), since “all allied parties have a presence.”
