Diosdado Cabello assured that the approval by the National Assembly (AN) of the Bill on the Oversight, Regulation, Action and Financing of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) is prudent and necessary, since many of them receive money from governments hostile to Venezuela.
“While the European Union rejects that media, political parties and NGOs receive Russian funds, we have to accept that gringos or Europeans finance these organizations and figures because they are very polite,” questioned the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.
During the Con El Mazo Dando program , he emphasized that the raison d'être of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are social causes, but in Venezuela NGOs are political and receive funding from the United States or the European Union, so it is necessary to pass laws to regulate them.
