This Friday, April 25, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that the opposition sectors are sorry to show the candidates that they will participate in the elections called by the National Electoral Council (CNE) for next May 25.
“It hurts them to show the candidates because they are an embarrassment,” he said during his show Sin Truco Ni Maña, in which he highlighted the great division that exists between the sectors of the Venezuelan opposition.
In that sense, Cabello referred to the fact that there are two types of opposition in the country: “one that has been participating in elections for some time and that went to the National Assembly; and one that is now coming to participate, that's where the surprised (Henrique) Capriles is, is Henri Falcón, Tomás Guanipa”.
He pointed out that “in total there are two oppositions that don't talk to each other”. In addition, he assured that within these there are also divisions, pointing out that in the participatory opposition there are those who do not want to mix with “Bernabe and the adecos, (José) Brito and the First Justice of that sector because they are not going to be scratched, like (Antonio) Ecarri, he is exquisite”. In addition, he pointed out that some of María Corina Machado's hangazapados such as Andrés Caleca are also registered in these elections.
He emphasized that while the opposition sectors are sorry to show their candidates, not the Bolivarian Revolution, “because our candidates with flesh and blood, live in neighborhoods, in communities, they don't have to go to disguise themselves” and specified that this right is the same right that has always generated violence and destabilization against the Homeland.
