Diosdado Cabello confirmed the attacks to which two police officers were subjected by a group of Deportivo Táchira fans on the Autopista Regional del Centro, near Maitana, in Miranda state.
“There were some buses that came here to Caracas to watch the game, the Central University of Venezuela won Táchira, and they left and wanted to pay off their anger with some police officers,” he said during his Con El Mazo Dando program.
He added that the officials wanted to draw his attention because of the reckless way in which they had been driving and what they received was the aggression of the group of fanatics that ended with injured officials and the police patrol destroyed, so his arrest was ordered later.
He also confirmed that for this case there are five accused citizens, while another 22 are under the filing regime.
Cabello rejected the campaign that right-wing longliners unleashed against the Bolivarian Government because of the need to show graphic testimonies of the damage caused by these violent people whose attitude does not match the actions of the vast majority of sports fans in Venezuela.
