Cabello: PSUV defends peace, supports President Maduro and rejects fascist terrorism

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed that the red awning today defends peace and expresses his strong support for President Nicolás Maduro; he also reiterates his rejection of the sectors of the fascist extreme right.

“The PSUV defends peace and President Nicolás Maduro, not fascist terrorism,” he said when reading the red awning statement at a press conference, in which he referred to the terrorist plans of NARCOBAN, a criminal alliance involving drug traffickers-conspirators and criminal gangs, which were thwarted by security agencies.

He also reaffirmed the repudiation of the revolutionary forces of the actions of the extremist sectors of the opposition “who, almost without any kind of shame or love for the Fatherland, have given themselves completely and absolutely to imperialism”. At the same time, he emphasized that these sectors are wrong to think that this people are going to surrender to their plans.

“Neither the dynamite they placed in the Plaza de los Heroes of the Great Patriotic War that was dismantled (...) nor the large part of the explosives discovered in Maturín, Monagas state, frighten and much less frighten our people and their vanguard,” he said.

For this reason, he pointed out that in the face of these acts, which demonstrate the desperation of those sectors that renounced politics and democracy, the "PSUV, as the political vanguard of the Bolivarian Revolution, the party of Commander Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro, while repudiating the terrorist plans of national and international fascism against our Homeland, we declare that we are and will be at the side of our President and of our people under any circumstance,” he said.
