Cabello said that Ocariz protected the criminal nicknamed El Wilexis

This Monday, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) criticized opposition figures such as Carlos Ocariz and Henrique Capriles for having defended the criminal Wilexis Alexander Acevedo Monasterio, known as “El Wilexis”.

“In Sucre, we know what (Carlos) Ocariz was doing with the bands, they know what he was doing with El Wilexis... Now they play crazy and use these people for violence. Surely there will be people who want to participate in the elections but they won't let them,” said Cabello.

Wilexis led a structured band that operated from Colombia and had alliances with the extreme right. During the guarimbas of 2017, they began in Petare, where this criminal extorted money from the population, these criminal groups were responsible for generating violence and destabilization in the country.
