Cabello: Smoke sellers intend to deceive their followers with the issue of earthquakes in the country

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that the extremist opposition sector has surpassed all capacity for seriousness in trying to use the recent seismic event recorded in the country, with the earthquake that occurred in the country in 1812, to relate it to the departure from power of the national president.

He emphasized that smoke dealers (extremists) must invent another one, not the one about tremors.

He recalled that with the earthquake of 1812, “the priests of the time, the ecclesiastical hierarchy of the time, I say it was God's punishment, because some wanted to free themselves from the colony”.

In this context, Cabello highlighted that several members and longliners of the extremist right have published on the subject.

“Like a campaign of intrigue,” he ironized, commenting that extremism wants to make us believe that the earthquakes of 2025 are a sign of what happened in 1812, when the Republic fell.

He commented that these publications were made by longliners Emmanuel Rincón, Pablo Soto, Leopoldo Castillo and others.

Cabello, his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 545, recalled that last Wednesday, September 24, it trembled strongly and the seismic event was felt in several states of the country such as Zulia, Aragua, Lara, and even in Caracas.

In this scenario, he commented that the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS) has reported more than 150 movements in less than a week, with epicenters mainly concentrated in the west of the country.

As an example, he mentioned that in the 96 hours 154 earthquakes have been recorded in different regions of the country, “what happens is that people don't notice”, since they are of smaller magnitude.
