Cabello: The United States is the only country in the world where there are more guns on the street than inhabitants

During his Con El Mazo Dando program, the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, who is the Rifle Association that allows the United States to be the only nation in the world “where there are more weapons on the street than inhabitants”.

He argued that businesses sell any type of weapon to their inhabitants, on the other hand, when it comes to antibiotics, pharmacies demand the respective prescription, “they don't sell it to them if they don't have their recipe.”

In this regard, during broadcast number 545, he stated that in the United States there are many murders because “people buy a rifle and kill people however they want”. As an example, he mentioned an event that occurred in a church “there were five deaths (...) this does not happen in this part of the world”.

“You see that in Ecuador right now, that's new, that people are at a party and some guys arrive to fall to the ground and kill a crowd,” he said.

Cabello recalled that this situation “we experienced in Colombia for years with the paramilitaries of (Álvaro) Uribe. (Gustavo) Petro arrived and that has calmed down. Now you don't hear about massacres in Colombia.”

He also highlighted that in the country “yesterday, for example, no homicides were recorded anywhere in Venezuela.”

He also stated that the US Secretary of State, Marcos Rubio, was the one who received the largest amount of donations for his campaign from the Rifle Association in the United States.
