Cabello to Ochoa Antich: They are the workers themselves who have recovered the Metro

During the Con El Mazo Dando 534 program, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, responded firmly to a post made by the opposition member Enrique Ochoa Antich on the social network X, in which he expressed his surprise at the current good state of the Caracas Metro.

Cabello read a post by Ochoa Antich where he said: “Pleasantly surprised by the current state of the Metro, almost the same as it was inaugurated in the 80s... surprising cleaning... only three inoperative staircases.”

In this regard, he replied that the recovery work has been carried out with national technology, and that it is the working class itself that has assumed the commitment to repair and maintain the system.

“It's the Metro workers themselves (...) who have repaired it themselves,” Ochoa Antich emphasized.

He stressed that the level of recovery has been because the People had to reinvent themselves due to economic attacks by the empire, while recalling that out of every 100 dollars received, barely one arrived. “That was like an electroshock to our economy,” he said.

He pointed out that when that Metro was made, you couldn't even touch a screw without a commission coming from France or Spain to say that such a contract had been violated or even the disputes had to be resolved in New York courts.

“This is the town, Ochoa Antich. Don't be surprised by our employees. That's the way we Venezuelans are. That you haven't noticed, is another thing, he stressed.
