The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted this Friday the achievements of the Bolivarian Revolution in the Venezuelan prison system, during his participation in the Congress Drug Use and Juvenile Delinquency: Justice with a Human Face, which was carried out in the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).
“Until recently, it was impossible to search a prison facility. Because there was a pran, a negative leader. Well, you couldn't enter,” said Cabello, noting that the procedural delay that exists in the country “is not new right now, it's historic, because the pranes didn't let people go to court.”
In this regard, he emphasized that “today we can intervene in any prison facility on any day and at any time. And we do the search (...) Here it was common for you to find even rifles in a prison. Since when can't you get a gun in a prison?” , he said.
He recalled his participation in the actions promoted by the Bolivarian Government to control the uprising of prisoners in prisons such as El Rode or and La Planta. “We don't say that this won't happen, but today there are the conditions to prevent it, first it happens, and if it does happen (we guarantee) quick actions to solve that problem,” he stressed.
