This Wednesday, in a national videoconference of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), the first vice-president of that red awning, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, invited the consolidation of the Popular Assemblies and the strengthening of democracy in the country.
“Let's get ready to call for community meetings, more than 47,000. What it does is strengthen the Revolution, the PSUV, which is the vanguard,” he said, adding that during the popular assemblies “we choose a candidate and go to the elections.”
Cabello, assured that the PSUV with these activities “strengthens Popular Power and each person is subject to the elections of the sovereign, he is not a member of the group,” he said and added that we must correct and insist on that.
“Through the six consultations, there are four that have to do with culture and two with youth projects plus the election of governments, the National Assembly and deputies; the full exercise of democracy,” he said.
In this regard, he urged that assemblies be held throughout the national territory to collect all the information “and merge all energies and opinions for the victory of April 27 and that it be decisive and unitary to have strength and continue to move forward.”
“There is no small thing that is at stake in Venezuela... while in other parts of the world the Peoples are only summoned to an election of the president, here in Venezuela we see the full exercise of democracy”,
