This Tuesday, August 12, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stated that, since August of last year, when he was assigned to the Ministry of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Venezuela has faced at least 20 cases of violence driven by sectors of the extreme right in the country.

During his speech, at the regular session of the National Assembly (AN), he pointed out that these cases include post-electoral violence by sectors of the extreme right, up to the recent terrorist plans dismantled by State security agencies.

“I am only going to serve one year in office and the President (Nicolás Maduro) gave us a very clear instruction, to work for peace, for the tranquility, not only of the Chavistas, but of all Venezuelans and Venezuelans, and that is what we have been doing, since taking office in August, we have faced at least 20 cases of violence, going through the terrorist acts of July-August until the last operation,” he said.

He pointed out that all these actions are driven by extremist sectors that do not accept that they were defeated by the People in the elections of July 28, 2024. “We went to the streets and our people reorganized themselves in the battle; and that sector has no choice but to pick up its wounds and make it clear that violence was once again defeated,” he said, recalling the post-election events of a year ago.

He reaffirmed that this is the “story of those who don't know how to lose, of the children of daddy and mommy who are used to always being pleased (...) and when something goes wrong they collapse, enter into crisis and begin to invent”.
