Cabello: We appreciate the solidarity of the Peoples of the world with Venezuela

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, extended his thanks to the governments, peoples and social movements that have stood in solidarity with our country in the face of the new attacks of imperialism against President Nicolás Maduro.

“We thank President (Gustavo) Petro for his words, we thank the presidents and governments of the world who have expressed their solidarity and their rejection of this new attack of imperialism against our country,” Cabello said at a PSUV press conference this Monday.

He also highlighted his gratitude “to the Social Movements, Political Parties and personalities of the world who today raise their voices to defend Venezuela, Mexico and Colombia”, reaffirming that they do so with the awareness that this new attack by imperialism has a single purpose: “to try to overthrow governments that are not related to it.”

In addition, he pointed out that those who believe that these attacks are only a Venezuelan issue are wrong. “If it works with Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela go for the others, it's the route that imperialism has defined to hegemonize what they think will be their domination in the world,” he said.

He reaffirmed that Venezuela will always bet on peace. “We have never attacked anyone, but we are ready to defend ourselves against anyone, whenever and however,” he said.
