“We are making an effort to have the best police forces because President Nicolás Maduro requested it,” said the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

“We are committed to that (...) And if the police officer is on the street asking for money, he is going to get into tremendous trouble; when we have to defend him, we do it, but no official can collect fines personally,” he said from his Con El Mazo Dando program this Wednesday, November 6.

To the police officers who carry this practice outside the law, he said: be careful! Warned war doesn't kill soldiers. In that vein, he specified, “wearing a uniform should be proud and should be worn by an honest person who complies with the law”.
