The governor of California, United States (USA), Gavin Newsom, accused the president of that country, Donald Trump, of taking measures typical of a dictator and plans to sue him for ordering the deployment of 2,000 troops in the city, Hispantv said.
“Incite and provoke violence, create mass chaos, militarize cities, arrest opponents. These are the acts of a dictator, not of a president,” the Democratic governor of California, Gavin Newsom, wrote last Sunday to Trump on his account on the social network X.
Newson added to President Donald Trump's decision to deploy at least 2 m federal members to contain the riots in California. Meanwhile, last Sunday, around 300 members of the National Guard arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday morning after two days of protests.
The US president resorted to this measure after Los Angeles and New York, in the state of California, were the scene of protests since Friday, June 6, in rejection of the detention of undocumented migrants during raids carried out by agents of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service.
The governor asked Trump to cancel the “illegal deployment” of troops. “We didn't have any problems until Trump got involved. This is a serious violation of State sovereignty: exacerbating tensions while taking resources from where they are really needed. Cancel the order. Give back control to California.”
