Campuses in Miranda and Caracas were equipped with tables and chairs built with recycled plastic

A batch of 140 table-chairs made of recycled plastic were delivered to two schools in the state of Miranda and one in the Capital District, as part of the actions carried out by the National Government to promote ecosocialist culture in the youngest.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Ecosocialism, the Carmen T. Villalba Initial Education Center, in the Guaicaipura municipality, 40 table-chairs were allocated, 50 for the EU Argelia Laya in Cúa, Las Mercedes sector, and 50 for the Sara Bendahan School, located in the Caricuao parish, Libertador municipality, in the Capital District.

In addition, the text emphasized that the material used for the construction of this furniture was collected by boys and girls, from these campuses, in each of their communities.

The holder of this portfolio, Ricardo Molina, from the Carmen T. Villalba National Early Childhood Education Center, located in the Alto Nuevo community, Guaicaipura municipality, Miranda state, highlighted the need to promote recycling in communities.

“We must take a greater interest in the recovery of what is the raw material that many people consider to be garbage, this is an example of how it can be reused,” he said.

Minister Molina said that deliveries are consolidated through the Technical Recycling and Cleaning Tables (Metras), promoted by MINEC through organized Popular Power. “It cannot be done only from the institution, that has to be done from the communities, and that is why each Community Government Chamber must have its Council for Ecosocialism, Science and Technology consolidated,” he said.
