Captain of the Venezuelan softball team: Now we have a bigger commitment! (+China)

This Tuesday, July 15, the captain of the Venezuelan softball team, Rafael Flores, reaffirmed his team's commitment to continue raising the name of Venezuela, which is now preparing to defend the title in China.

“Thank you very much for attending to us, more than a few words it is a greeting to express the commitment that this team has (...), not only is it becoming world champion, but now we have a greater commitment to maintaining the level of the team,” he said after being received and decorated by President Nicolás Maduro at the Miraflores Palace.

He also said that they hope to continue to count on the support of the Bolivarian Government. At the same time, he reaffirmed that despite the conditions of traveling the distance, the team had the strength to be crowned champions.

He reiterated that Venezuela has this equipment for any event; and also that they are now preparing for the World Championship to be held in China.

The Venezuelan men's softball team arrived this Tuesday at Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetía , after being crowned champion of the 18th WBSC World Championship in Canada 2025 .
