Through the social network Instagram, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, reported that they are deployed to attend to parishes affected by the rains this Sunday.

“In Los Angelinos, Macarao parish, the water level of the ravine rose, dragging vehicles and affecting homes,” he wrote.

In this regard, he indicated that the teams of the Mayor's Office, together with the community, work to care for and protect affected families.

He also pointed out that in the San Bernardino parish, the situation that occurred with a cedar-type tree that rushed onto a house is being addressed and explained that the Caracas Police are working together with the Caracas Services and Civil Protection Corporation.

“We are all deployed and on alert, especially clearing roads for free vehicle and pedestrian traffic,” he said.
