Caracas City Council awards Aristides Bastida and Gustavo Machado awards

This Thursday, January 2, the City Council of Caracas announced the winners of the Gustavo Machado Prize for Political Thought 2024 and the Aristides Bastidas Award.
According to a press release from the Municipal Council, the Gustavo Machado award was awarded to the journalist, deputy and rector of the International University of Communications, Tania Díaz as the best communicator in political opinion. For his part, the deputy chronicler of Caracas, manager of Memory and Historical Action Policies of the National Center for Historical Studies and deputy director of the School of Integral Formation, Carlos Escarrà Malav, won the award in the Best Essay award, for his book Good morning, lady! , published by Fundarte and the Chronicler's Office.
The president of the Venezuelan Marxist Center Salvador de la Plaza (CEVENSAP), sociologist, educator and professor at the UCV, Alexandra Mulino, was the other winner for her book Thinking in the South.
