The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, reported that a multidisciplinary team acted to avoid major damage and protect families affected by the recent rains that occurred in the capital city.

Through the social network Instagram, the mayor indicated that in connection with the rains, a multidisciplinary team was deployed after the flooding of the Los Angelinos ravine, in the Macarao parish, which affected some homes and material assets.

Meléndez commented that thanks to the Rain Plan, “we have managed to minimize the effects of rainfall on this area of Caracas, and we will continue to clean up streams, because more rain is expected over the capital city in the next few hours.”

In addition, he added that a multidisciplinary team acted to avoid further damage and protect families living in the vicinity of this tributary.
