Caracas will host Afro-Venezuelan Benefit Gala

This Tuesday, June 17, the music, the word and the presence of cultivators will bring to life the Afro-Venezuelan Benefit Gala in Caracas, an activity promoted by the Venezuelan Coast Drum Festival Foundation (FESTACOVE), in order to invigorate social programs that benefit the coastal communities of Venezuela.

Starting at 5:00pm, they will carry out several activities, such as the inauguration called Ambassadors of the Drum 2025, in which Casimira Monasterios, researcher and promoter of Afro-Venezuelan culture, will be recognized; and Luis Felipe Hidalgo, musician and director of the Afro Libertad group.

The Venezuela Indomita proposal will also be presented, a runway that highlights ancient elements, under the curatorship of Dayon Moiz, a fashion specialist; the art of 12 Venezuelan designers will be shown, in 30 models.

In addition, there will be a special participation of Ensamble, Ritmo y Tambor, a musical group with a traditional Venezuelan repertoire, which explores the different rhythms of the drum.
