‎El People's Power Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, highlighted the dignified role played by Venezuela in the framework of the 80th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), in New York.

‎Resaltó the triumph of peace diplomacy: “We are very satisfied because in each and every one of these meetings what we have found is a validation of the truth of Venezuela, a validation of diplomacy, a validation of the Latin American Zone of Peace”.

‎El diplomat reported that the Venezuelan delegation held “more than 50 meetings with foreign ministers; we have participated in dozens of regional meetings, forums, workshops and solidarity activities.”
‎
‎Finalmente, Gil specified that the important thing is to highlight “the role of Venezuela, its position in defending peace, its history, the position it has held before the UN General Assembly and the position of dignity, defense and international legality. It has been a victory!”
